Established in 1980 by PolyGram Records, Lion Studios remains standing as the oldest recording studio in Singapore. Designed by Jeff Cooper (who has designed studios for Steven Spielberg and George Lucas amongst many other Hollywood elites), the fully sound-proofed and acoustically treated studio will deliver a world-class listening experience.
Between 1980 and the early 2000s, Lion Studios has hosted many great artistes and bands such as Teresa Teng, Tracy Huang, Kit Chan, M. Nasir, Ramli Sarip, Flybaits, Search, Headwind, The Alleycats, and more. Orchestras such as The National Youth Orchestra of Singapore, The Symphonic Wind Orchestra, and The New Festival Orchestra have also placed their trust in Lion Studios.
Lion Studios is also proud to be the birthplace of three of our national day songs: Stand Up For Singapore, Count On Me Singapore and We Are Singapore. They were written by Hugh Harrison and recorded in Lion Studios.
The studio has stood the test of time, preserving the integrity of the historical recording room. Today, Lion Studios is moving in the direction of converting into a truly unique and exclusive concert venue, delivering an acoustic experience that you cannot find in traditional concert halls.
